Do you have certain desserts that you associate with certain seasons?
I know rice crispy treats aren't necessarily fallish.
They don't have ingredients like pumpkin or apples ...
but for some reason, a fall isn't complete unless I've made a batch of rice crispy treats.
And it's mostly around Halloween time when I feel the urge to make them.
I don't know ... it's just my thing.
Honestly, I don't think we could watch 'It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown'
without rice crispy treats & warm chocolate chip cookies.
It's one of our favorite family activities dating back to when my boys were little guys.
Take a look at these!
One thing I love about these yummy little treats ... they are just so versatile!
To mix it up this time around, I added some candy corn!
I chopped up a handful & tossed it right into the rice crispies & marshmallow mixture.
For the final fall touch, I dipped the individual treats into some white chocolate ...
about a cup of chips that I melted in the microwave for 30 seconds or so.
While the chocolate was still melty, I stuck on the candy corn for garnish.
And how cute are these?!
How's that for some 'tricks or treats' make you feel like a kid again?!
Happy Fall Y'all!
Who doesn't love a good party?!

Angela, My girls when they were small would watch that show and we always had popcorn and peanut butter fudge....then the girls would cry when the show was over...they loved it so much. Back then we did not have cartoons all the time...it was rather rare....40 years ago...come to think of it... how can that be..Gee Angela you have me going back in time. Bless your sweet heart, xoxo,Susie
