He Knew I'd Be Like This

stock photo

ohhh...
my relationships with Christ & others just haven't been up to par this week ~

ohhh...
wretched weak one who has been given so much~

I'm a sponge sometimes ... soaking up all the ick & ugly around me
{note to self:  I cannot control others,
but I can control myself, my thoughts, my emotions,  & my tongue}.

I'm a magnifying glass ... making my troubles so much bigger than they really are ...
especially since I profess to believe. expect. trust.

I'm a storm, a frenzy, a whirlwind ...unnecessarily ...
considering I am keenly aware of the answer ...
BE STILL & KNOW.

And yet, unworthy to my very core, I hear Him beckon.
The gentle wooing ... the familiar tug.
Walk with me, He says.
Talk with me.
Come closer.
Give me your burdens.

I feel the knock on my heart's door.
Let me in.
I am your very present help.

And my reaction is physical.
I'm brought to a palpable pause when I experience His nearness ...
just for me!
He's reaching just for me.
Never will I ever take for granted ... knowing, beyond a shadow of a doubt
that HE IS FOR ME.
He formed me ... every unique part of me.
He knew I'd be like this.
And He called me, in spite of it.

He loves me with an everlasting love {Jeremiah 31:3}

Extremely humbled in His presence ~
